Les
amours imaginaires (Heartbeats) 21-year-old Canadian
gay filmmaker Xavier Dolan won the Cannes Regards
Jeunes prize for his sophomore film about three close
friends who are involved in a love-triangle. It’s
the second year in a row Dolan won the prize.
Last
year, he won for his debut feature, J’ai tué
ma mère (I Killed My Mother), which he also
wrote, directed and starred in.
After
the opening of "Les amours imaginaires"
in Cannes on Saturday night, Dolan recieved a lengthy
standing ovation.
